Through the Parentpreneur Accelerator Podcast, we help you to build the startup business of your dreams, whilst having time with the family you love. To do this, we share tips and experiences from successful (and earlier stage) parentpreneurs who know exactly what it's like to have a conference call while changing a nappy, or to write down a customer's email with a crayon while feeding a baby. :-) This podcast is hosted by serial entrepreneur and proud dad, Alexis Kingsbury. After 17+ years and 8+ startups, Alexis knows that building startups is not easy (just like parenting!). So this podcast aims to give you the advice you need to make it easier to create a successful startup business, without having to neglect quality time with your family. In this episode, I speak with Natasha Freidus, Founder and CEO of the Needslist, which connects the needs of refugee aid communities quickly and efficiently with those who want to help. Natasha has fifteen years of experience applying human centered design for social good and a long-standing commitment to refugee and migration related issues. She believes strongly in the potential of technology to solve global challenges, when developed in partnership with affected communities. With experience in the public, non-profit, and private sector, Natasha is comfortable in a wide range of contexts. She is currently spearheading an initiative to leverage technology resources to support people displaced by conflict and climate change. In this episode, we’ll discuss how business can be used as a tool for social change, the expectations for startup founders, and how Natasha has balanced her business alongside her family life.
